Cocoa Mmaa is an all-female cocoa farmers cooperative based in Dunkwa-On-Offin, proudly comprising 800 dedicated members, with a few supportive males known as “he for she.” Our mission is to become the most sustainable female cocoa producers worldwide while enhancing our livelihoods through income training and various women empowerment activities. We believe in the strength and resilience of women, and our slogan, “Cocoa Mmaa! yekoyenim! Cocoa Mmaa! Mmaa papapaa!” reflects our commitment to unity and empowerment.
Our empowerment projects focus on providing women in cocoa farming with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to thrive in their communities. We offer educational opportunities, skills development, and mentorship programs to uplift and empower women towards a brighter future.
By fostering community building initiatives, we aim to create resilient and self-sustaining communities within the cocoa farming regions. Our projects focus on enhancing social connections, promoting cooperation, and developing sustainable practices for the overall well-being of the community.
We strive to contribute to the economic growth of local communities by supporting women in cocoa farming to enhance their productivity and income opportunities. Our projects are designed to create economic empowerment and improve the socio-economic conditions of the regions we work in.
